About exterior & pressure cleaning
People book this when a patio has turned green and slippery after winter, or a block-paved drive is covered in moss and oil marks. Business owners book it for entrances and forecourts marked by chewing gum and grime.
Patio slabs and stone paths are pressure washed, and steps are cleaned of algae. Block paving is washed and its joints resanded. Timber and composite decking are washed with a method that suits the boards. Sealing can be added after cleaning. The pressure is matched to the surface, because soft sandstone, old mortar and some paving can be damaged by too much force. Render, cladding and gutters are discussed separately. Moss and algae can grow back, especially in shade and damp.
Before you book, name the surface, such as sandstone, block paving, concrete or decking, and send a photo if you can. Show us where the outside tap is and where the water will drain. Point out cracks, loose joints and flaking paint. Move cars and plant pots, and warn us about neighbours' fences or anything else that could be splashed.

Exterior & pressure cleaning: common questions
Is jet washing safe for my patio?
It depends on the stone, its age and the joints between slabs. Soft sandstone and old mortar can be damaged by high pressure, so the method is matched to the surface.
How long will the patio stay clean?
Moss and algae can return, especially in shade and damp. Regrowth depends on the site, and no fixed period can be promised.
How do I measure my patio or driveway?
Multiply the length by the width in metres to get square metres. Add separate areas together, such as a patio and a path.
Can you seal block paving after cleaning?
We can. Sealing is an option in the online quote, priced by the square metre on top of the cleaning.
